Passion Island, like all place, has a history that to tell, that to offer and that to share, and to be able to understand its main personage we must go back to its origins, the Goddess Ixchel.

In Mayan mythology Ixchel (“the white woman”) it was goddess of the love, the gestation, the textile works, the moon and the medicine. In some occasions one imagined to him accompanied of a rabbit. One of its invocations was considered maleficent, and it imagined to him in the codices, like an old woman, draining odres of the rage on the world.

Its temple was located in the Cuzamil island (Cozumel) of the province of Ecab.
